Ole Mill
This is your classic family blue plate special style restaurant.  They serve breakfast all day long and operate buffet style throughout the day.  They have a pub in the back with tvs and a smoking section.  The food is usually pretty good, prepared in mass quantities and the price is right.  The menu selection is wide and varied.  Your best to hit the buffet at the start of each meal hour, ie.e Breakfast at 6 a.m. lunch at noon and dinner at 6 p.m. other wise you run the risk of picking through some less appetizing looking foods.

88 is probably the finest dining in Buckhannon, no doubt about it. I think Allburghers and 88 will compliment each other and not compete directly. Two different places. If you are looking for fine dining you hit 88. If you are looking for casual dining, you hit Allburghers. Both establishments are good for Buckhannon.

Carla does a great job at Aesop's! It is important to remember Aesop's roots. Pete Cornett and Byson Van Nostrand did an amazing job designing the place, and Lata added all the menu ideas and made the place so inviting and warm, and worked so hard. Lata always did a great job. Mike Oldaker and Judy Oldaker gave their creative energy and support. Carla has taken Aesop's to the next level and keeps putting out great food and great service.

Right on Townie about about the roots of Aesops. Don't forget to mention that Aesop is a story teller and moralist and that his fables have guided mankind toward a just a truthful existence for over two millenia.

I think you have understated Sal's personality. He is an embasador of good will. I propse we send him to Iraq, the West Bank, Darfur, and North Korea to see what he can accomplish. The food is always good and service is always fast and friendly.

I was at Allburghers in Buckhannon, WV on new years eve. IT WAS WONDERFUL! My wife and and a friend of ours were sitting at the bar for most of the night until the stoke of midnight. The bartenders and the Owner was great. I'm an new to this area and i plan to go back. We had a wonderful time.

The original CJ Maggie's was located where Barnyard is now. The fourth CJ Maggie's is in Ashland, KY. Been there. Just like the others, it's great.

I totally enjoy Carmona's. Not only is the food terrific but the eye candy isn't bad either.. Sal, although married, makes dining there an experience. He has a terrific personality and also good looking.. Very professional yet gives you that down home "cheers" feeling where everyone knows your name... If I were rich I'd eat there every day..lol

i feel that you have left out a few good places to eat in town. however, you did manage to name the more popular ones, therefore probably adding to their business. you forgot neka's, kings, the barnyard, and more. these are all located rather close to you as are the others. just wanted to point that out.

The 88 is an excellent place to eat. It is the finest dining in town. I must admit that duck is not on the menu. Check it out again soon and you can rewrite about the new menu changes.
I must also admit that the Daily Grind is one of my favorite new dives in town.
Allburghers late night is where the fun begins. I love the locally incorporated deli pepperoni rolls and breads. Kudos to Damon for supporting local businesses.

I was just wondering if Deer Park has been reviewed anywhere. In my opinion, although there are a handful a great restaurants in the area, it is the probably my favorite. It is a little more of a distance and a little hard to find if you have never been there before, but it's worth the short drive. Also, they just hired a new chef...this might be a good time to see what it's all about out there.

Aesop's is one of my three favorite places to eat on Earth. Great food, great vibe, great staff. Buckhannon is lucky to have so many good non-chain restaurants!
