I think you should add a salad or other healthy options.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have had a lot of people tell methat I should do this. I think we will add that to our menu at the new year. Keep checkingin to see how we've done.

Hey Damon..I really like the salad idea! That will add a new twist to a fun menu...Your wings are awesome!!! The environment is just great. We wish you the very best of luck! Oh by the way..could the bun for the burger be a bit smaller?. That is a lot of bread!

Not only would salads be nice, it would also be nice for you to have desserts on your menu. Most people that dine out like to end the meal with something sweet.

You really need a few desserts on your menu.

There is a townie impostor! I did not make a comment about the desserts. Beer and desserts are not very yummy. I hope the townie impostor stops impersonating me and stops asking for silly things like dessert. Why not umbrellas in the drinks?!? Tiny umbrellas, not the normal sized ones. That would be awkward.

Great job Damon. Do you deliver?

I almost agree with Leo. The burgers are not exactly what I consider to be good burgers. Its a combination of the texture & the taste. To me it tastes as if I'm eating deer meat, not ground beef. If you are going for healthy then serve a soy burger or a veggie burger and put the fat back in the normal burgers.

Love the atmosphere! Not wild about the marinade for the burgers. How 'bout a burger that just tastes like plain ole cow? My family wants to make Allburgers one of our regular places, but we're boring....we don't want anything in our ground beef but salt and pepper! Could you make that an option for us non-foodies?Thanks!

No Problem with your request Jrcooker. All that you have to do is ask them to throw a burger on the grill and don't add the marinade. It will take a few minutes longer for them to do this for you, but it is easily done.

Thanks, Damon! We'll pass the word, and give Allburghers a second shot!

I've been out of town for a few days, anything happening with the food? Any new stuff on the menu? Any changes?

We have added the orginal Phillie Cheese Steak. Joe, our cook, used to sling these things around in Philadelphia for about ten years before moving to our little burgh. They have the cheese on the bottom and are made just like the original sandwich in our nations capitol of independence.

Good news on the Cheesesteak. It's tough to get a good sub in town. Sam's Italian is just about the best around, but it is nice to have some variety. You should review Sam's place. It is a good pizza place and Sam is a good dude. He and Sal could give some other businesses in town a lesson on customer service. No, I don't mean Allburghers.

Have you tried them recently. We have made a few changes to the burgers. They are still not what you will find in the fast food joints. i.e. mostly fat, no flavor, no pre-made flashfrozen cookie cutter wafer sized beef products - rathe, still lean ground chuck, hand made, full of flavor. But I think we have improved them to better meet the expectations of burger lovers from all points of view. Let me know.

Tinkering. I think some tinkering needs to be done on the menu. What about salads? What about jello?

  • Comment #19 (Posted by Leo)

Ok - I've had the wings and they were great.
I've had the chilli and it was spectacular.
I've had the beer and it was intoxicating.
But when I had the burgHers, I could not stand them. The meat had a funny texture, the taste was that of boiled lamb. Honestly, to name a place Allburghers and then have the worst hamburghers the world has ever seen is just plain nuts. Fix the burgers and you should have a good place there, otherwise, change the name to AllButGoodBurghers.

Just to be a good sport, I thought I should post Leo's email. I actually cracked up. Allbutgoodburghers is pretty funny. What does everyone else think? I've got some people coming in saying they are the best burgers in town. One reason the texture is different than most other places is due to the fact that there is hardly any fat in them. They are close to 90% lean. By the way, the burghers in the name allburghers actually refers to the people who live in the town, or burgh i.e. Pittsburgh, Nuremburgh, and of course Hamburgh. Get it?

Funny. I have heard nothing but the two extremes about the burg(h)ers. Everybody loves them or hates them. While lean meat is good for the body, it isn't good for the taste buds. Fat is the key to great flavor in any meat. I love the way Allburghers is so open to constructive criticism and seems very willing to listen and improve. Keep it up! It is a great place.

You asked for it. We brought it to you. There ar enow several healthy items on the menu including several salads, some wraps, and a couple of new sandwiches, including a rueben and a cool turkey sandwich. Everything has been getting rave reviews/ Come check it out.

The "new" buffalo chicken sandwich was a joke. The flavor was excellent, but the serving size was shocking. So much so that we asked if there was a mistake. Each half of the sandwich had one LITTLE piece of a chicken tender. And I mean little. The size would be comparable to half a hot dog. It was that skimpy. For $7.95 I expected a sandwich. Not something that I wouldn't even consider kid-size. The fries which are normally pretty dang good, were soggy. Yuck. The "featured" buffalo chicken sandwich is definately not recommended.

To the guy who had a lousy chicken sandwich, My humblest apologies to you. I have presented your comment to every single employee who works at Allburghers. While some were dumbfounded others were greatly disappointed. the whole reason that I have this page is to provide the best service that I possible can at all times. This means that we have to know when we are not performing to the best standards. I sincerely, Thank you very much for your submission.
